'FingerPrints' is the Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Facility at the College of Life Sciences, University of Dundee.

FingerPrints provides a state of the art Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry service to researchers at the University of Dundee and to academic and industrial clients across the globe.

Skills & Expertise

Our state-of-the art technology and industry-standard resources are supported and enhanced by the intellectual input and expertise of interpretation by our team of experienced scientists, technicians, and internationally renowned researchers in the field of proteomics and mass spectrometry.

The FingerPrints Proteomics facility Director is Professor Mike Ferguson FRS CBE, an expert in biological mass spectrometry.

Management and facility operations are overseen by the Proteomics Facility Manager Douglas Lamont, who will answer any particular questions you may have about our services and capabilities.

Dougie's team includes, four scientific officers Kenny Beattie, Wenzhang Chen, Abdel Atrih and Mark Agacan - together they have extensive knowledge and hands on experience in the areas of Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry with over 50 years of combined relevant experience.

The team’s Proteomics Technician, Sam Kosto provides invaluable support to the facilities on-going operations.

FingerPrints is also in the unique position of having bioinformatics support in the form of Dr David Martin who provides extensive support to the facility by looking after both the Mascot Server and data storage (Backup and Archiving).
