Dundee SmartCare Convention, a free event in the Caird Hall on 15 February.
Digital Health Institute at Dundee SmartCare
The next five years in digital healthcare is a key topic at this year's Dundee SmartCare Convention, a free event in the Caird Hall on 15 February. The Digital Health & Care Institute is at the heart of the Government's plans and their Industry Health & Care Manager, Joanne Boyle, will set out the vision for change.
Ms Boyle is one of six care and healthcare related speakers at the event, which also features 25 exhibitors showing a mix of new and existing technologies which keep people out of hospital and improve care.
NHS Inform and ALISS will describe their upgraded health information website; local IT developers M2M Cloud and Three Rings will explain what the Internet of Things will mean for healthcare; and there will be an update on the Florence home mobile health monitoring system now being trialled in Tayside.
Blackwood's Clever Cogs system is also on show, and there will be a discussion session on Dundee's Technology Enabled Care Strategy led by Alexis Chappell, Locality Manager at the Dundee Health & Social Care Partnership.
The event is organised by the Dundee Technology Enabled Care project, which links Dundee Voluntary Action with the Health & Social Care Partnership. More details at www.dva.scot and booking at Eventbrite (https://goo.gl/32xYOQ)
